Captain Steve Coby

My true passion is to be out on the water and seeing how excited people get when they hook up with a big fish.

Licensed and Insured

Holds a coast guard certified 100 Gross Ton masters license, 35 plus years experience combined with his attention to detail, hard work ethics, and clear determination to land the big one; has resulted in numerous tournament wins and respectable finishes.

Noteworthy Attributions

I have learned over the years that patience is an absolute necessity to being a great guide; no matter what skill level you are; novice or expert. I will take the time to properly instruct everyone how to rig the lines, and do my best to guide them through the battle of landing the big one, and to ensure that everyone has a safe and memorable time.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

I spend as much time as possible on the water, basically my whole life has been dedicated to fishing, the only good thing about a day off, we get to try new techniques and rigs; finding different areas and trying different presentations is all part of the job that I take it very seriously.

The Important Things

Customer satisfaction is important to me. Every customer is treated with respect and friendly service. I will do my best to provide a safe, exciting and successful fishing trip. One that you will remember for a lifetime.

Over the years it has been my privilege of being a Charter Captain, guiding novice and experts alike to trophy catches time and again. I love fishing. When I'm not fishing, I'm thinking about it.

For over 35 years I have been gaining knowledge and sharpening my skills in finding and catching large Stripers and King Salmon.

I know where they are, when they will be there, and how to catch them. I have learned which rods, reels and terminal tackle work the best and have fine-tuned my presentation techniques.

A sport fishing trip with your friends and family fishing on the Hudson River, Lake Ontario, or Long Island Sound is such a great way to spend a day, we have seen so many groups have the time of their lives fishing together, or just hanging out enjoying each others company, from office and business outings to family groups, it really is a great way to bring people together. Excitement is almost certain and memories are created that you and the rest of your fishing crew will not soon forget.

When your in a spot that can produce a record fish, the lines are out and the reel starts to scream, the battle is on; When all of these things come together is when you realize… it’s a Chance of a Lifetime!

Are you ready for your chance of a Lifetime?
